A loft in Paris

Improvement on the floor plan and layout of a loft apartment in Paris to maximise the use of space and add an additional bedroom

Interior

Paris, France

Area: 160m2

This loft apartment in Paris with an illogical layout had substantial lost space in corridors and semi-open spaces. With some discreet changes to wall positions, the configuration of the kitchen was transformed, while space was created to introduce an additional bedroom. Blended together with careful furniture design and semi-translucent wall partitions to create a feeling of light and space, this project demonstrates how small interventions can make a big difference.

Bespoke furniture is designed to define areas while preserving the open views.

Clean lines create strong perspective views and reorganise space in a continuous flow. Materials for the new interventions where chosen to blend with the existing loft features.

Suspended and free standing elements with a palette of white finishes provide an appeasing aesthetic to the bathrooms.
